I would like to know more about the What Barfield Thought book. I read and listened to several second-hand summaries of his beliefs and focus, before reading his writings myself. I have read Poetic Diction, Saving the Appearances, and the fictional Nighttime Operation. Now I wonder if those who interpreted his thoughts read the same books.

From what I understand, the writers of "What Barfield Thought" approach Barfield from two different perspectives. Loftin as a Christian and approaching Barfield through his interaction with The Inklings, Leyf as an Anthroposopher and through his interaction with Rudolf Steiner.

I listened to an interview the did on the book on "Pints with Jack" a while back and it was what prompted me to pick the book up. They talked quite a bit about "History in English Words," and "Poetic Diction."

Appropriate coincidence to publish this on a day of solar eclipse. I am reading it during the event--though my location allows me to see little of it.
